Preparing for the big shoot

The big video shoot in Consonno, Italy is coming up. Christian and Daniel check the last technical shortcomings in this part of the DD2.JZ series in order to let the DD2.JZ survive the ride without a hitch. At the forefront they check the excessive temperature of the steering oil and the missing expansion tank of the cooling system.

Without hesitating, Christian begins disassembling the front bumper to get easier access to the steering components. The electrically controlled Aristo power steering pump is then replaced by a reliable original hydraulic pump from the Supra.

On the last ride, the steering oil became so hot that even the rugged Dash hoses melted. To solve this problem, Christian has ordered his own steering oil cooler.

For the installation of the new cooler, tailored supports are required which are made by Christian.

In order to keep the optimum engine temperature during a drift, a reservoir is also installed. For this purpose, the original Aristo reservoir is used.

The DD2.JZ is thus ready for the upcoming deployment. In the next episode, we will go behind the scenes of a technically elaborate video shoot in Italy.
